Brenda Pirtle, AHS Attendant of the Month

We are excited to announce that Brenda Pirtle is AHS Attendant of the Month for January 2018.
Brenda has 20+ years in the healthcare industry and after a year of retirement she is now getting to experience one on one care giving. We are so happy to have her on our team and know that her clients are very fortunate to have her. She enjoys yard work, gardening, crafting, sports and cooking. She has been married to her husband for 30 years and together they have 5 sons and 8 grandkids.
From Brenda- I have always had a passion for senior citizens and love seeing them smile when I walk in the door. Sometimes they tell me I’m the only one they see on a regular basis and they love the attention and companionship. What I do does not feel like a job but more of a fulfillment for both my sole and the clients. I know at the end of the day, I’ve made a difference in someone’s life.
A memorable moment with a client- I had a client ask me to help prepare her a safe shelter in her closet. After gathering supplies and placing it all so she knew exactly where it was, she asked me to hand her a Harley Davidson helmet with a shield so she could “test it out”. She is a Harley girl which makes her special to me.
I’d like to thank At Home Support for giving me this opportunity and am thrilled to be selected as the January 2018 Attendant of the Month!
